What We Do:
It is the mission of Sundog Poetry Center to promote poetry as necessary to the enrichment of our cultural lives, support poets in their work and create audiences for their poetry, and provide ways to share poetry throughout the Vermont community.
We celebrate poetry’s ability to give voice to what is often left unspoken and connect our outer lives with our inner selves.
Who We Are:
We are a non-profit organization that is funded through our programs and through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations. With the assistance of community-minded individuals like you, we will be able to continue serving Vermonters.
Where We Are:
Sundog Poetry Center is headquartered in beautiful north-central Vermont, although our events are held in various venues across the state, which have included independent bookstores, Shelburne Farms, Burlington’s ECHO, Bryan Memorial Art Gallery and Visions of Vermont Art Gallery in Jeffersonville, Jericho Center Library, and even in poets’ homes. Our retreats are held at Fielder Farm at the base of Camel’s Hump in Huntington, a short drive from Burlington and Vermont’s major airport.
